CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Life-sized cow statue in Australia stolen

(CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Australian police have appealed for witnesses following what they called the "high-steaks theft" of a life-sized fiberglass cow statue from outside a business in Truganina, Victoria, in late April.

Surveillance video shows a silver Holden VE Commodore station wagon pulling up to the business while towing a trailer, and two people exiting the vehicle while the driver stays inside.

The two people, wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, then lift the fiberglass cow, dubbed Betsy, into the trailer before driving off.

"The pair lifted and mooooved Betsy into the back of the trailer before hoofing the scene east along Schembri Drive," police joked in a statement. "Betsy is easily identifiable, she is red and white in colour and estimated to be worth $3,500. Betsy's owners are udderly devastated," they said.
