One arrested following reports of a possible bomb on a plane in San Diego
SAN DIEGO (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - One person was arrested following reports of a possible bomb on a Hawaiian Airlines plane in San Diego Tuesday.
According to police, the plane was pushing back from the gate when a fight attendant told the captain a passenger had reported a bomb on board.
As a precaution, the plane was taxied to a safe location away from the terminal where everyone deplaned.
San Diego Harbor Police say they responded with SWAT, a K-9 search team and the Joint Terrorism Task Force.
The fire department and FBI also responded, with the FBI saying investigators determined the threat was not credible.
The flight to Honolulu finally took off about five hours late.
