Baby pudu at Oakland Zoo named after Incan moon goddess

OAKLAND, Calif. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A baby pudu at the Oakland Zoo has been given the name Quilla after a moon goddess in Incan culture, the zoo said.

Footage released by the zoo shows Quilla making her way towards a bowl of food.

The zoo said in Incan culture, "Mama Quilla is a moon goddess and holds a special role as the protector of women."

The zoo added Quilla is "growing quickly and loves to play hide and seek with both mom and dad."
