Nice and seasonable weather continues for the rest of the week

We have seasonable temperatures and light winds for now. I am tracking another round of winds and a quick cooldown for the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - We will have warm and quiet weather with highs staying in the 90s through Saturday.

I am tracking another weather system that will cool our temperatures below normal, along with bringing back breezy and windy conditions for the weekend.

Another warm-up will be back by the middle of next week with a round of triple-digits.

Get ready! We have another heat wave on the way next week where highs will warm into the low and mid 100s. It is expected to be a HOT Memorial Day weekend! Stay tuned!

DROUGHT UPDATE! Exceptional drought conditions have shown up right here in Yuma on our latest drought monitor report this week. About 6% of the state of Arizona is experiencing exceptional drought, and 61% of the state is under extreme drought conditions. Yuma hasn't received much rainfall so far this year! Looking at our yearly rain review, Yuma only accumulated 0.07" so far in 2025, and our average is 1.33". This same time last year, we were over 2".
