Bryce Fire burns over 3,100 acres, 29% contained

SAFFORD, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Engines and hotshot crews continue to make steady progress battling the Bryce Fire.

The fire is burning about five hours northeast of Yuma, near Safford, Arizona.

The human-caused wildfire has now burned just over 3,100 acres and is 29% contained.

Nearby residents still remain on evacuation status, meaning they should still have a go-bag packed and ready.

The Bryce Fire has been burning since last Wednesday.
