Around 200 firefighters in Maryland battle warehouse fire

BALTIMORE (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Around 30 residents were evacuated and train services suspended on a section of track in Baltimore as a major fire gutted a vacant warehouse in the city late on May 12.

Livestream video, captured by Rusty Brown, shows thick flames spewing from the building's windows as firefighters attempt to douse them.

Media in the Baltimore area said around 200 firefighters were deployed as the fire escalated, forcing crews to use special equipment.

The Maryland Department of the Environment urged residents to stay indoors with windows shut due to air-quality concerns.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. No injuries were reported.
