Michael Jordan joins NBC’s NBA coverage as a special contributor

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - NBA legend Michael Jordan will soon be offering his thoughts on the game he once dominated.

Jordan will be a special contributor on NBC when the network launches its coverage of the NBA in October.

The news was announced during the network's presentation to advertisers Monday in New York. Specifics about Jordan's role were not released.

In his playing days, Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to six titles in the 1990s.

NBC last broadcast NBA games in 2002.
