President Trump revokes Harvard’s tax-exempt status

(KYMA, KECY/NBC) - President Donald Trump announced he will be revoking the tax-exempt status on Harvard University.

President Trump made the announcement through social media saying, "It's what they deserve!"

Harvard University previously sued the Trump Administration for freezing over $2 billion in funding to the school.

The administration said Harvard was not following demands to take action towards ending antisemitism on campus.

A Harvard representative said there is no legal basis to revoke the tax status.
