Trees pulled from roots after Missouri was hit with tornadoes

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Trees were uprooted in Springfield, Missouri, after the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado warning for the area Tuesday.

"Likely tornado on the ground northeast of Freemont Hills to move through Rogersville and areas just north of the city," NWS Springfield said on X. "Additionally 90 mph winds have been observed by the NWS at the airport in Springfield."

Savannah Keller took to X after surveying the damage, sharing a video and photos of downed trees.

"Damage report from Springfield, MO by the airport. Old gas station damaged and tons of trees fallen, one on a house," Keller wrote in the post.
