Special needs students enjoy Prom Night!

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Prom is a magical time for any student, but for one lucky group of students in Scottsdale, Arizona, it was straight out of a storybook.

Sierra Academy threw in an Alice in Wonderland inspired event with the theme of Mad Hatter's Tea Party, specifically serving students with special needs.

The teachers say that it gives the students a chance to participate in the event that they may have otherwise missed out on.

This marked the fifth time the school has held a prom night for its students.
