Firefighter in Indiana rescues cat stuck in a tree

CARMEL, Ind. (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - A firefighter rescued a cat who was stuck high up in a tree in Carmel, Indiana, Friday, according to the Carmel Fire Department.

Video released by the department shows firefighter Tyler Lindamood reaching for the cat while standing on a firetruck ladder and carrying it back down.

"What's one of the scariest things you do as a firefighter? Locking eyes with a terrified kitty 25 feet in the air? Now that's top 5," the department said.

Sylvia Pavlova, who called for help, said firefighters arrived within five minutes and thanked the team for their quick response.

"Thank you so much to everyone, and especially Tyler, for getting up the wiggly ladder to help our cat! We appreciate all you do, and everyone's help!!!" she wrote in a comment on the fire department's Facebook post.
