Cibola softball pulls away in playoff bubble clash with Kofa

As both teams hover on the playoff bubble, Cibola softball gets the best of Kofa.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Alaina Padilla had two hits to lead the Cibola Lady Raiders to an 11-7 victory over the Kofa Kings at Cabelleros Field on Tuesday.

No. 22 Cibola moves to 8-5. No. 23 Kofa falls to 6-8.

Cibola scored seven runs in the first two innings to take a 7-2 lead after two. Kofa would make a late run including scoring four in the 6th. However, the Lady Raiders responding scoring two in the final frame pull away with the 11-7 victory.

For Cibola, Padilla had the two hits and scored three runs.

For Kofa, Kiya Sayre had two hits and scored one run.

These two squads will face off once again on Thursday.
