Three dead in small plane crash in Nebraska

FREMONT, Neb. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Three people were killed in a small plane crash just south of Fremont, Nebraska, Friday.

The crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. Central when the aircraft went into the Platte River. All three people onboard were killed during the crash.

Authorities have recovered their bodies from the water, but did not share their names.

It is unclear what caused the plane to go down and the investigation is ongoing.
