Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hold rally in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are holding a rally in Bakersfield, California, Tuesday.

The rally is part of the "Fighting Oligarchy" Tour, where Senator Sanders and Representative Ocasio-Cortez are calling out the policies instituted by the Trump administration.

Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez were in Los Angeles this past weekend as part of the tour, where NBC News reported more than 30,000 people flocked to the event.

Following the stop in Bakersfield, Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are scheduled to stop in Folsom, California, as part of the tour later in the day.
