Border Patrol agents rescue stranded hikers in Arizona

(KYMA, KECY) - Border Patrol agents rescued two stranded hikers in Southern Arizona in separate incidents.

One hiker was found Saturday near the Superstition Mountains with a possible broken ankle. A Border Patrol agents was lowered by a helicopter to reach the injured hiker, who was then flown to safety.

The second hiker was found Sunday after being lost for two days near Pauline Ridge, along the Arizona Trail. The agents reached him on foot, performed medical aid and brought him out for treatment.

Both rescues happened in remote, rugged terrain.
