Senator Cory Booker holds town hall in Arizona
TUCSON, Ariz. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Senator Cory Booker and Arizona democrats held a town hall in Tucson over the weekend.
The New Jersey Democrat, who recently made headlines for delivering the longest speech in Senate history at 25 hours, was joined by Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Pima County Attorney Laura Conover, U.S. Representative Greg Stanton of Phoenix, Democratic Chairman Robert Branscomb and other members of the party.
Locals were able to make their voices heard about the "critical issues impacting communities, from housing to healthcare to democracy itself."
The event was held at Catalina High School and was designed to rally Democrats and highlight U.S. Representative Juan Ciscomani's failure to hold live town halls in the district.
