Local families build their own houses through non-profit organization

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A non-profit organization gives local families a key to their new home in San Luis, Arizona.

11 families participated in the self-help program by Comite de Bienestar.

They worked together along with a construction company to build their houses.

One new home owner says this a dream comng true.

"Building our own house gives an extra value to our lives and very happy," said Carmen Oliveros, a new house owner.

Comite de Bienestar will hand over 12 more homes under the self-help program in two months.
