YCSO holds 38th Annual Awards Presentation and Recognition Ceremony

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) held the 38th Annual Awards Presentation and Recognition Ceremony last week.

In a press release, the ceremony took place at Britain Farm last Friday, and over 250 employees, volunteers, family and friends attended the ceremony.

YCSO says officers, civilian employees and volunteers were recognized for their "outstanding service" to YCSO and the community last year.

According to YCSO, Sheriff Leon Wilmot presented the YCSO Life Saving Award to Deputy Chandler Bell and Rural Metro Firefighter/EMT Cesar Esquivel "for their acts of heroism and exceptional performance above and beyond the call of duty under emergency conditions wherein a service was rendered that resulted directly in saving a human life on Wednesday, October 23, 2024."

For the full list of winners in last Friday's ceremony, as well as businesses who donated to the ceremony, read the press release below.
