Man arrested for armed robbery at Del Sol Market in Yuma

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A person was arrested after robbing a grocery store, according to Yuma Police Department (YPD).

Officers were called at about 6:44 p.m. on March 30 about an armed robbery on S. 4th Avenue near Del Sol Market.

YPD says a man held a knife and ran from Del Sol Market with stolen product. The man was later found by officers in the area of S. 5th Avenue down the street from Del Sol Market.

The 36-year-old man, identified as Jerry Miranda, was booked with multiple felony charges including:

  • Armed robbery
  • Disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon
  • Aggravated assault on firefighter/ EMT/ MEDIC
