ARIZONA@WORK holds layoff assistance event
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - ARIZONA@WORK Yuma County recently hosted a layoff assistance event to provide support and resources for local workers facing job displacement.
This event aimed to help employees affected by upcoming layoffs with job training, resume building, and other resources to aid in their job search.
Operations Director Patrick Goetz shared that while the exact details of the layoffs are still unfolding, another round of layoffs is likely to happen within the next two weeks.
"The layoff information that we received...we will probably have another layoff event, most likely within the next two weeks," said Goetz.
The event provided crucial support for individuals facing uncertainty in their careers, offering guidance on how to transition to new opportunities.
ARIZONA@WORK is focused on helping those affected by job loss by connecting them with job placement services, skills training, and workshops to enhance their employability.
"The goal is to make sure people know that there is support available, whether they need help finding a new job, upgrading their skills, or navigating through the uncertainty of job loss," Goetz explained. "We're here to help people get back on their feet as quickly as possible."
ARIZONA@WORK continues to work closely with local businesses and community organizations to ensure workers have the resources they need to succeed during times of economic transition.
