Tracking seasonable temperatures and stronger winds for Friday

A ridge of high pressure will continue to weaken, which will allow our temperatures to cool down to seasonable levels on Friday, but it will also bring in stronger winds.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - As a ridge of high pressure moves east and continues to weaken, it will finally bring us some relief with cooler temperatures.

A zonal flow pattern with lower pressure will develop, which will allow cooler temperatures and stronger winds.

A Wind Advisory is issued and is in effect until 5 a.m. Saturday for Ocotillo for gusts up to 55 MPH.

Breezy and windy conditions will move in this evening and will carry into Friday with strong west winds and gusts between 20-35 MPH.

Stronger winds will favor toward the west and during the evening hours. Take a look below at our futuretrack wind gusts for the morning and evening.

Temperatures will finally drop into the 80s by Friday and they will stay in the 80s to wrap up the final days of March and welcome the first day of April.

Also, we will have additional clouds, but dry conditions will persist for the next several days.
