Arizona DES to host Lunch and Learn event
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) Registered Apprenticeship Office is hosting a Lunch and Learn event this week.
In a press release obtained by KYMA, the event is in collaboration with Arizona@Work Yuma County, and is inviting Yuma employers "to learn more about the benefits of offering registered apprenticeship programs."
Arizona DES says the programs "have helped employers build a skilled and loyal workforce while reducing turnover and recruitment costs," with the number of programs continuing "to grow across the state, with more than 7,400 registered apprentices currently working in Arizona and 54 new programs in 14 different industries."
The event is happening this Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Career Center, located at 300 S. 13th Avenue.
