Convention in Tucson shuts down due to “contagious virus”

TUCSON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY/NBC) - A convention held in Tucson this weekend has been shut down because of a "contagious virus."

An NBC affiliate in Tucson reports the Wild Wild West Steampunk Convention, held at Casino Del Sol, has been canceled by the Tribal Medical Authority.

In a since deleted Facebook post from the event's Facebook page, multiple people at the hotel said they were not feeling well.

The post listed reported symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and food aversion. They also recommended wearing masks.
