Border Patrol agents seize firearms and ammunition

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - From AK-style rifles to pistol magazines, Border Patrol agents at the El Centro Sector seized firearms a gunrunner.

In a post on Facebook, they say four AK-style rifles, eight handguns, four high-capacity magazines, 12 pistol magazines and 50 rounds of ammunition were intercepted on the I-10.

The man was previously arrested earlier this year for "trying to smuggle another 12 firearms into Mexico."

He will now be charged with two felonies: Trafficking in firearms and prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
