A local elementary school hosted an AG day where students were able to learn about different aspects of the industry.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Gary A. Knox elementary school hosted their third annual AG Day.

People from the AG industry showed off their skills at the local school.

Preschool to sixth grade students learned about different topics about agriculture.  They also applied what they learned with some hands-on projects.

"They're our workhorses. They’re the ones that spend most of the time, third through sixth grade, they spend a lot of time in the garden wheating and fertilizing and transplanting they do all the heavy lifting," said teacher Ann Ogram.
