Local Arizona man continues on to the next round of NBC’s ‘The Voice’

Kolby Cordell has made it past the Battle Rounds, and is onto the Knockouts of "The Voice."

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Kolby Cordell is moving on to the next round of the popular NBC singing show, "The Voice."

Cordell won his battle round Monday night, meaning he will move on to the next stage of the competition.

Cordell as born in Flagstaff, and lived in Yuma for about a year.

He talks about how it feels to have had Coco Jones and John Legend as advisors during his most recent show appearance.

"To get that type of acknowledgment, love, encouragement, teaching from somebody on a level like that...it's encouraging because it’s like okay what you’re doing you’re doing right, now just do right better,” said Cordell.

He will have to wait the next couple of weeks as the battle rounds finish up to see when and who he will face in the knockouts.
