Los Psycholists host Sixth Annual Poker Run: Brews & Cruise
Cyclists gather for a weekend of riding, competition, and community in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Bicycle enthusiasts from across Yuma gathered this weekend for the Los Psycholists Sixth Annual Poker Run: Brews & Cruise, a two-day event celebrating cycling, community, and friendly competition.
The event kicked off Friday with a pre-ride hosted by Los Ryderz 928 BC, where riders enjoyed food, raffles, and prizes at Friday Night Munchies.
Saturday's main event featured a poker run and a bike show, with participants competing for cash prizes based on the best and worst poker hands.
"There are several annual events that we do, including the poker run," said Jennifer Macias, a member of Los Psycholists. "We're very excited because this is our sixth year, our seventh as a club in Yuma, and the sixth year for our annual poker run, which is the biggest event we have."
Riders began the day with registration at 9:00 a.m., followed by the official start of the poker run at 1:00 p.m.
Winners took home more than $1,000 in cash and prizes, with the event wrapping up later in the afternoon.
Los Psycholists say they are already planning for next year's Poker Run and encourage the community to join them for their other rides throughout the year.
