Location change announced for Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A change of scenery is coming to one of Yuma's favorite events.

The Caballeros de Yuma and Mayor Doug Nicholls announced Friday that the annual Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival (CRCBF) will be taking place at the Pacific Avenue Athletic Complex (PAAC) this year.

The organizers say the new location will allow pilots to take off and land from one place and offer more space for families to have some fun.

"More amenities, more activities, more vendors, more options for food, and it will be an all-day event on saturday rather than something that's broken up throughout the day. Hopefully we can get some families out and have some stuff for the kids to do," says Josh Finkbeiner, the Event Chair of the 2025 CRCBF.

The PAAC will be the permanent home of the festival going forward.

This year's festival will take place in the middle of November.
