CBP officers find dozens of packages of illegal drugs in Calexico Port of Entry

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Officers from the Calexico West Port of Entry found four different kind of illegal drugs in a smuggling attempt, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

On Tuesday, February 18, CBP officers stopped a 20-year-old man driving a sedan into the U.S.

After being referred to secondary inspection, a K-9 team searched the sedan and found a total of 36 packages of drugs in the car's floor.

The packages were tested positive for fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and meth, weighing a total of 47 pounds.
