YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - We have northerly winds bringing in breezy and windy conditions across the area with wind gusts between 25-30 MPH this afternoon. Keep in mind, these stronger winds and drier conditions will promote elevated fire weather conditions.

Winds will start to ease up through the evening and night.

A series of stronger weather systems are expected to move through the Desert Southwest this weekend and into next week, bringing further cooling, and multiple rounds of breezy to windy conditions.

Our latest temperature outlook as we are starting to see light blue over the Desert Southwest, this indicates slightly below-normal temperatures is expected in the near future.

As we kick off the month of March we will have near seasonable temperatures with even slightly below normal temperatures expected for next week with highs dropping into the low 70s.

Plus, we will have multiple days with breezy and windy conditions throughout the weekend and next week.
