Preparations underway for 97th Academy Awards

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The 97th Academy Awards will be held this Sunday night in Los Angeles.

Preparations for the big night are nearly complete as the famed red carpet was rolled out Wednesday at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Now the wait, and the guessing game, is on.

"Emilia Perez" garnered the most nominations this year with 13 while "The Brutalist" and "Wicked" each earned 12 nominations.

Conan O'Brien will host the big show as we all learn who will take home the iconic gold statues.

The Oscars will air Sunday, March 3, at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on ABC and will be streaming on Hulu.
