Local artist competes on NBC’s ‘The Voice’
(KYMA, KECY/NBC) - A local artist has made it past their blind auditions on season 27 of NBC's singing competition 'The Voice.'
33-year-old Kolby Cordell is from Blythe, California.
Born into a musical family, with a singing father and an R&B-loving mother, Cordell found his true calling in music at age 17, using it to transform the challenges of his childhood into artistic expression.
He was picked to be on singer John Legend's team.
"Before you started, I was like, 'I feel like this audition is going to be for Team Legend.' And then I heard the chords to one of the greatest songs of all time: 'Never Too Much' by Luther Vandross. You really made the song your own," Legend expressed.
Don't miss the next round of 'The Voice' next Monday at 7:00 p.m. on NBC, channel 11.
