Calexico man faces multiple sex crimes with minors 

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A Calexico man is behind bars after he was accused of sex crime charges with a person under the age of 14.

26-year-old Kain Gonzalez is accused of nine charges including sexual conduct and sodomy by use of force and violence with a victim under 14.

The Imperial County District Attorney's Office says at least two victims have come forward to the sexual charges.

Imperial County District Attorney George Marquez says the judge set a high bail after he failed to show up to his first court appearance.

"Typical restrictions will be they can not leave the county. Obviously, they can not leave the country. They can't go anywhere near the victims, and depending on charges, if it's a case where the victim is a child, stay away from kids. Stay away from schools," Marquez explained.

Gonzalez is currently at the imperial county jail and has a bail of $500,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 5.
