Southwest soccer kicks Imperial out of the playoffs

Southwest soccer takes down Imperial in the CIF playoffs.

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Southwest Eagles defeated the Imperial Tigers 2-1 in the CIF San Diego Section Division IV quarterfinals.

Southwest advances to the semifinals. Imperial is eliminated.

In the first half, Alejandro Ortiz gave Southwest a 1-0 by scoring a free kick. In the second half, each team scored with Southwest heading home with a 2-1 victory.

Southwest will play on the road against Canyon Hills on Tuesday in the semifinals.
