Former President Trump posts to social media following apparent assassination attempt

(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Former president Donald Trump took to social media Sunday night following what the FBI is referring to as an apparent assassination attempt.

In his post on Truth Social, he thanked everyone for their concern and support.

The former president went on to thank the Secret Service and other officials for keeping him safe saying, "The job done was absolutely outstanding."
