Caught on Camera: Man rescued from icy waters

Security video also shows man's fall into Lake Michigan

CHICAGO, Ill. (KYMA, KECY) - Newly-released video shows the moment a man fell into the icy waters of Lake Michigan. It also shows first responders pulling him from the frigid lake.

A surveillance camera captured the frosty Saturday morning rescue.

First you see a person walking very close to the water...then that person disappears. Moments later the video shows a jogger frantically waving for help.

Police and fire crews eventually arrive on scene. Two officers manage to pull the person onto the lakefront. Paramedics took the person to the hospital in critical condition.

Police aren't releasing any details on the person rescued.
