KIZY Radio to host its 3rd Annual Reggae on the Yuma River event

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - KIZY Radio Station is hosting its 3rd Annual Reggae on the Yuma River event this weekend.

The event will feature live performances from local reggae bands, food vendors, and a beer and wine garden.

The organizer says funds from the event will be used to help build a new studio for the radio station.

He adds that over 500 people came out last year and is expecting even more this year.

David Martin with KIZY Entertainment Productions says, "I just love the music. I love the vibe, [and] I love the reggae vibe that comes out of people when they hear reggae music…because it's spiritual music and its something that touches your spirit and energizes people and motivates people and it's lively and it's fun."

The family-friendly event starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at Gateway Park in Yuma and is free to attend.
