An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect across the area with most places seeing widespread Major to Extreme heat risk.
Thunderstorm chances will mainly favor the higher terrain areas today, but strong outflows capable of generating blowing dust will be possible across the lower elevations later this afternoon and evening.
