Las Vegas police responds to domestic disturbance at Caesars Palace

LAS VEGAS, Neva. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Police responded to a barricaded man who took a woman hostage at Caesars Palace on Las Vegas Strip Tuesday morning.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police received a report of a domestic disturbance at the hotel, located in the area of South Las Vegas Boulevard and West Flamingo Road, at around 9:15am.

Upon arriving, officers attempted to contact the individuals in the hotel room, but a man responded that he was armed and refused to open the door.

Witnesses shared photos and video showing someone throwing items through a broken window of the hotel.

SWAT and crisis negotiators arrived on the scene and made their way into the ocupied hotel room, taking the man into custody.

The woman, who was also in the room, is now safe with officers.
