Assistance program for local farm workers

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A local organization is providing assistance to farm workers who are struggling economically.

Comite De Bienestar has a year-round program to help pay home expenses for those who have worked for at least 25 days and earned $800 in an agriculture-related job.

"With this program, we can help them to pay their rent, the utility bills including gas for their stoves and boiler, some have these services," said Martina Lopez, Comite De Bienestar Program Director.
