FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Hot holiday ahead as more winds come through the area

The 4th of July is expected to be another hot one here in the Desert Southwest as a week full of breezy conditions will also follow

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to dominate the overall weather pattern through the remainder of this week. Widespread highs of 110F+ are expected across the region for the foreseeable future. The Excessive Heat Warning has been extended for the lower deserts through Friday with highs expected to reach 111-116F. Dry and breezy conditions each afternoon will result in elevated fire weather concerns.
