Stray bullet kills woman in her home

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A stray bullet kills a woman early Sunday morning.

31- year-old Christian Galindo was inside her home when she was struck and killed.

The incident happened on First Street near 27th Avenue close to the city limits.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is still investigating where the shots came from and so far, no one is in custody.

"They did find an unresponsive female. Apparently, she had gunshot wounds and after life-saving measures from both deputies and Rural Metro, unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries," stated Yuma County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Tania Pavlak.
