Meet the Athletes: Red Gerard

Red Gerard burst onto the Olympic scene after creatively carving a gold medal Slopestyle run in PyeongChang, but his sister was already known for her own creative cookbook concoctions.

Gerard admits both are great at what they do, but only one is actually cleaning up.

The teenager is now the golden kid of Colorado.

He discusses the passion for cooking:

Half Baked Harvest Cookbook. This is one of two of her books, I think there is a third one in the making right now, but I'm the second in the family for whose made it or what not. Most of the time when I get recognized so then, Oh wait, your sister is Teagan Gerard, the cook right?" She wouldn't be hyped about me saying this, but my favorite thing is her buffalo cauliflower. Kind of a big wing guy. See the thing about cooking, like I'm super down to do it, I'd be really into it, but it's the cleaning up part after it that I'm like... If I had a clean-up person. That's what my dad does for my sister, he just kind of cleans up the pans.

Watch Red, and the rest of Team USA, go for the gold when the Beijing 2022 Olympics kick off February 3rd with exclusive coverage on NBC 11 and KYMA.com.
