Record flooding continues to overwhelm Central Texas

ZAVALA COUNTY, TX. (NBC, KYMA) - Aerials taken Saturday morning capture the scene over parts of Zavala County, water can be seen submerging entire neighborhoods.

It's still unclear exactly how many residents have been evacuated due to the rising flood waters. First responders have reported hundreds of rescues as rising water rushed throughout the Texas county.

Many residents still reeling from the devastating floods a year ago.

Floodwaters have also created dangerous travel conditions, with many roads still impassable. Authorities are urging people to avoid flooded areas, follow all road closures, and never drive around barricades.

At least two people have died in flood related incidents.
