Weather Alert: Gusty winds through Monday night

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Breezy to locally windy conditions will continue today, resulting in an elevated fire weather risk.

Take a look below at our expected wind gusts this evening.

A Wind Advisory is issued for western Imperial County including Imperial Valley and El Centro, for strong westerly winds where highest gusts could exceed 45 MPH.

The Imperial County APCD has issued an Air Quality Alert all day today due to increased particulate matter from blowing dust.

In areas directly impacted by high levels of windblown dust, limit your exposure by remaining indoors with windows and doors closed and avoiding outdoor activities.

Winds will be light tomorrow, but winds will will strengthen by tomorrow evening bringing breezy to windy conditions again for the area.

Near to slightly below-normal temperatures will prevail through the work week under dry conditions.

Another warm-up will be on the way for next week where highs will trend near the 110.
