Super Bowl Sunday calls for high heat and lower evening winds

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Temperatures are well into the 80s in the Desert Southwest for Super Bowl Sunday.

As it is currently being tracked, those numbers should drop into the low 80s for Monday and decrease into the 70s after.

The sun will be shining bright Sunday and will be mostly visible Monday, but clouds are anticipated to roll into the region in the middle of the week.

Wind gusts were steady this morning but will remain calm throughout the evening and most, if not all, of Monday.

As it is looking currently, Tuesday will see higher winds with Yuma County getting 20+ mph gusts and the Imperial Valley seeing 13-15 mph gusts.

Whether you are planning on staying inside for Patriots vs. Seahawks or want to get outside, the weather is looking great in the Desert Southwest.
