Heat peaks in mid-100s with cooler nights this weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma County and the Imperial Valley are far from out of the clear of the triple-digit degree heat.

For the weekend, midday will make its way several degrees above 100 degrees Fahrenheit before dipping down into 90s by the evening.

Wind gusts will be close to nonexistent over the course of the next couple of days, so natural relief from the heat will be tough to come by.

Lows in the Desert Southwest will drop below 80 degrees Fahrenheit at night, so for those who are planning on spending their weekends outside, the heat will continue to be persistent throughout the day with comfortable conditions setting in as the sun sets.
