News 11 Weather: Summer starts with Wind Advisory

Local temperatures will dip back to our seasonal average if not below heading into the weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A Wind Advisory went into effect this afternoon and will remain until Saturday night. Southwest winds are expected to range from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

This is mainly in place in the southwest corner of Imperial County. Very dry and increasingly breezy conditions continue Friday and Saturday.

Friday also marks the first day of summer bringing with it a cooling trend through the weekend featuring below normal temperatures by Sunday, persisting into next week.
