Warm weather continues, with even higher temperatures on the way

Temperatures could reach 100 degrees by Tuesday before cooling slightly later in the week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Warm and dry conditions are sticking around, with temperatures climbing even higher through the middle of the week.

Sunday's highs will reach the mid-to-upper 80s across the region, about 5-10 degrees above normal.

By Monday, a strong high-pressure system will move in, pushing temperatures even higher. Phoenix could hit 95 degrees, which would break the previous record of 94 degrees.

On Tuesday, there's a 50-70% chance that temperatures will reach 100 degrees, which would be the earliest triple-digit day on record.

Relief will come later in the week as cooler air moves in, but temperatures will still remain above normal heading into next weekend.

While no rain is in the forecast, staying hydrated and limiting time in the heat is advised, especially for those sensitive to high temperatures.
