News 11 Weather: Weekend Wind Advisory

A wind advisory is set to go into effect on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. PST for parts of Imperial County

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A wind advisory is set to take effect on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. PST and stay in place until 10:00 p.m.

Western Imperial County and portions of the Imperial Valley could see wind gusts ranging from 20-25 mph with some gusts reaching over 45 mph.

Expect some difficult driving conditions, especially for larger vehicles traveling along roads with crosswinds. Light, unsecured objects may become airborne.

Multiple weather systems move through the region this weekend through early next week, which will promote cooling temperatures.

Temperatures are expected to briefly fall below normal for the beginning of next week.

In addition to cooler temperatures, these weather systems will bring breezy to windy conditions to the region and a slight chance for rain.
